The Cosmopolitan, or Cosmo, is a fabulously popular drink that made its appearance in the ‘70s or ‘80s depending on whose story you believe. It was created as an upscale drink to be served in a martini glass, but to be visually stunning and more palatable.
The blending of citrus vodka, triple sec, cranberry juice, and lime juice makes a tart and citrusy cocktail with a real punch. This stunning concoction made its way across the country and hit its zenith in the ‘90s being sipped on by Carrie Bradshaw and her girlfriends on Sex in the City.
